Valentina 15.1 updates DuckDB, Report Server email and more

Other enhancements for Python coding, Forms Designer, database creation options.

Paradigma Software announces the immediate availability of Valentina 15.1 products. This is a first major update to Valentina 15, released February 14, 2024.

Valentina Studio 15.1

Valentina Studio is the free, all purpose database management tool suite. Valentina Studio Pro adds diagramming, forms creation, reporting and more. Valentina Studio Pro 15 adds several new and useful features, including:

[Imp] Qt updated to 6.8.2 version (Windows from 6.8.0, Mac/Lin from 6.3.1)
[Imp][DuckDB] Added Storage Version and Block Size parameters to the database creation dialog
[Imp] DuckDB support updated to DuckDB version 1.2
[Fix][Form Editor] Fixed minimum width for the Property Inspector panel

Valentina Studio 15.1 for Windows, macOS and Linux is licensed but free. Valentina Studio Pro is $199 per OS license and includes 12 months of free updates. Valentina Studio UNIVERSAL 15.1 is a single license that works on all three operating systems and licensed on a user basis.

Valentina Server 15.1

Valentina Server incorporates Valentina Reports Server, Valentina Forms Server and three database servers: ValentinaDB Server, Valentina SQLite Server and with Valentina Release 15, Valentina DuckDB Server. What's new:

[Imp] DuckDB support updated to DuckDB version 1.2

Valentina Server 15 also inherits improvements to individual Paradigma Software technologies, including ValentinaDB, Valentina Reports and Valentina Forms. Valentina Server is available for Windows, Linux (x86, ARM64), macOS and Raspberry PI. Valentina Server is available in three configurations:

Valentina Server Free Evaluation. A five simultaneous connection license available for free evaluation for commercial users. The same is available for free re-deployment by academic institutions, instructors and students. See academic licensing for details.
Valentina Server (standalone). Licensed for commercial use by connections and operating system, including 12 months of free updates and full, direct support, starting at $299.
Valentina Developer Network. ISVs, system integrators and other developers can get an OEM license of Valentina Server to deploy to their customers, royalty free and in unlimited quantities, starting at $599.

Valentina ADK 15.1

Valentina DB ADK and Valentina Reports ADK are commercial components for embedding database and reporting runtimes and storage in applications. Valentina Client is available for use for free with Valentina Server for working with databases & reports stored on Valentina Server. DuckDB support is also available in Valentina DB ADKs for Java, .NET and Xojo. What's new:

[Imp] MAIL command of Valentina Server now supports CC/BCC
[Imp][DuckDB] engine updated to v1.2 on macOS, Windows and Linux
[Imp][DuckDB] Added StorageVersion and BlockSize properties to I_DuckDBDatabase interface. These properties are applied in the Create method for a new database file.

Developers can deploy Valentina ADK powered applications in unlimited numbers and royalty free. The commercial licenses are based on development system and operating system. Valentina ADKs start at $199 and include 12 months of free updates. They keep working after the 12 months are over. There are no forced subscriptions with Paradigma Software products.
